My name is Paul Iddon, and I am 53. I enjoy photography, though I cannot devote the time and money required to make a living from my hobby. I have been interested in photography for many years, on both film and digital.

My favourite genre is Macro, seeing the world under your nose is so different when you look at the amazing detail to be found there.

I live in Preston, England's newest city. Preston was an ancient market town first documented in the Domesday Survey of 1086. Awarded city status in 2002, the occasion was marked here when the Queen visited during her Golden Jubilee celebrations.

Preston's proud heritage includes over 750 listed buildings including the Grade I listed Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Preston Guild Hall, Lancashire Museum and St Walburge's Church, as well as several Victorian gardens and parks. The University has over 35,000 students.

I have lived in Preston for more than 25 years and there are still many areas I have yet to visit! The city is a marvellous place at the heart of the North West of England. I am however, a Wigan man, brought up in the village of Standish on the outskirts of the old industrial town.

If you decide to purchase an image from my portfolios, you have my thanks.
